12th London Regiment ( The Rangers ) Blackened Cap Badge

A blackened die struck brass cap badge with original slider (tip bent over to retain it in cap). This is the third pattern king's crown cap badge as worn 1937 - 1952, when they became part of the KRRC. Some wear to finish but this is attractive and gives it a good patina.

A die struck gilding metal cap badge very dark toned or with a slightly bronzed finish applied. Signs of service wear, has the correct strengthening bar behind the crown and the correct naming style for this pattern of badge as made by Smith & Wright of Birmingham in WW1. Bi-Metal die struck cap badge with original slider and braising / sweat hole behind coronet. Some black paint to slider otherwise in good condition.

In 1920 the spelling was changed to "Welch".
