A very solidly made example, silver plated star with mounted gilt brass device and a wee jimmy to the centre in silver plate. Pre 1936 pattern with the long scrolls. Some bending to loops but functional. A worn example but still with shap detail and a real cracker.

WW1 Canada - 6th Canadian Mounted Rifles (CMR) Pickled Brass Cap Badge - Larger Pattern
In good condition with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 45mm tall. Minor service wear to the tip of the maple leaf and the numeral 6. worn in two sizes, this is the larger pattern. Raised in the Province of Nova Scotia and perpetuated by the 8th Canadian Hussars. Served on the Western Front.

A pleasing browning brass example with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 47mm tall (the collars of the same pattern were worn in facing pairs but smaller at circa 29mm tall). Raised in the Toronto area and perpetuated by the Governor Generals Bodyguard. A later version had a scroll change (CMR as opposed to CMRR). Served on the Western Front in France.
