Removed from uniform, folded edges, some minor wear to edges and unfolding, light fading from sun to the colours, some red marks to lion but overall a very pleasing example.

Victorian Warwickshire Regiment Militia / Volunteer Battalion Officer 's Silver Plated Helmet Plate, 1880 - 1902

A star of eight points, the topmost point displaced by a Victorian crown. On this a laurel wreath. Within the wreath a strap inscribed the garter motto Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense. In the centre the regimental device of the Warwickshire Regiment, an antelope with a coronet around its neck and chain attached standing on a torse on a black velvet cloth background. 45th Regiment of Foot (Derbyshire Regiment / Sherwood Forresters) Brass Glengarry Badge Converted into Mess Menu Holder

A genuine example with lugs removed (they were north - south) and expertly attached permanently to a brass menu ring stand which has an upright ring for holding the menu card / place setting name card. The crown shaped back to facilitate holding the paper card in place. Probably graced the tables of the 1st Battalion's Regimental Mess post 1881. Some traces of dried polish. Royal Berkshire Regiment Officers Boss Badge - Gilt Metal Device, circa 1902 - 1920

Royal Berkshire Regiment - Without 'R Berks' below the dragon indicating a 1902-1920 issue mounted on a red/ maroon cord boss with two retaining wires still present. I think this has been mounted on the wrong coloured cord boss. According to K&K it should have been fitted to a khaki cord boss and worn with a red felt backing.
