Royal Fusiliers 1st Version Other Ranks Shoulder Title converted to Sweetheart Brooch

Royal Fusiliers 1st Version Other Ranks Shoulder Title converted to Sweetheart Brooch

A clever adaption of the early two piece shoulder title with the small RF letters below now attached to the grenade which would have been worn above separately, lugs now removed and the whole attached to a functional c clasp pin fitting. Some staining to the gilding metal finish as a result of the conversion but nicely done.

Westlake 790 refers but modified to sweetheart.  read more

18th Royal Hussars Theatre Made Cast Brass Badge

18th Royal Hussars Theatre Made Cast Brass Badge

A large cast brass badge on brass bar with long integral loops to the reverse. Circa 1.8cms tall and 3.5cms wide. Not to be confused with the smaller shoulder title (see final photo for comparison - the latter for sale elsewhere). Whilst in the style of many theatre made slouch hat badges of the Boer War, on reflection this badge has more of an Indian made feel to it and was possibly worn by...  read more

Flare Pistol / Gun - Relic Condition - RAF issue

Flare Pistol / Gun - Relic Condition - RAF issue

An absolute monster in the hand and of considerable weight. The flare pistol was a feature of every day life in the trenches but this one looks larger than those found as issued to the British Army with a 1.5 inch muzzle. Apparently this is a RAF issue recovered from the seabed. This is completely seized up so no need for a firearms licence and I cannot see any markings. Painted with black...  read more
