WW1 2nd Battalion ( Territorial Force ) The Monmouthshire Regiment Brass Cap Badge - Woodward
A scarce brass cap badge for this territorial regiment as worn from 1908 to 1922. In good condition with some slight polishing to the highpoints with original slider maker marked " F. E. Woodward Bham " (correct naming style). The tail does not have the distinctive arrow-head tail, but the hint of one, either this pattern did not have one or it has sadly been broken off. A small matched pair of die cast gilt brass collar badges, each with 2 original loops and reinforcement bars to reverse. (AMO 1920), King 's Crown so pre 1952. Good condition with sharp detail. Very slight colour variation otherwise a good match.

Strung brass bugle horn as worn by this unit until 1949. With two original loops to the reverse. Circa 4.3cm tall. In very good condition.

This is the version with the small lettering of the word "of" between 'Earl' and ' Carrick'. original and long slider to reverse. Sharp detail with no damage. Nicely stamped out beard or goattie and correctly sized 'I' in Carrick.

Leicestershire Yeomanry Cavalry ( LYC ) ( Prince Albert 's Own ) Brass Cap Badge, 1910 - 1915 only
A good stiff die struck gilding metal brass cap badge with original slider with sharp detail. This pattern sealed 1910 and only worn until 1915 when replaced with the Saxe-Coburg design ( like the 11th Hussars cap badge). Also found in white metal.
