Large pattern with fixed shank and blank reverse. Worn 1920 to 1946 (they acquired the title "Royal" in 1946). Circa 26mm in diameter. Good detail and condition, except for some verdigris to the reverse. Scarce.

Victorian / Edwardian Northumberland Fusiliers Officer's Undress Field Service / Side Cap
In lovely condition with no moth or damage or pen marks. With two original officer's silver and gilt buttons with mounted devices and the pre 1904 pattern girdle and strap. The gold thread bullion grenade has no St George and the Dragoon device but it does not look to me as if it ever had one. Some wear to the bullion and it has darkened. A good scarce bronzed brass example on short slider. Worn by the 38th, 40th and 42nd Jewish Battalions of the Royal Fusiliers which were raised later in the First World War in 1917, otherwise known as the Jewish Legion.
