This includes the original grease proof paper in which the bullet pencil was originally wrapped and card upon which it was stored. This has been stored in tissue paper and away from the air for 100 years which accounts for its stunning condition. This is not a copy. It is one hundred per cent the real thing and would make a wonderful "antique" Xmas present for 2014!

As issued to troops serving overseas in the Brass gift tin, this single packet of tobacco is an original packet (not a modern copy for re-enactors). It has some staining to the word "princess" and the sleeve is a little but grubby but it is un-torn and unopened. Very scarce.

Wood framed Solid Brass Ship's Tampion believed to be from the the WW1 HMS Hindustan, an 18-gun twin propeller pre-dreadnought battleship of the King Edward VII class. She was launched in 1903, sold in 1921 and scrapped in 1923.

An original die-stamped brass example, with signs of service wear (has been well polished in its time and the edges of the two towers are slightly folded over with wear). Star surmounted by Castle and Key; on the star a strap inscribed “Montis insignia calpe. East Suffolk” with “12” to voided centre. Reverse with brass (not copper) loops, north - south. An early and scarce brass badge. Note the motto "CUIDICH'N RHI". Major Parkyn's book "Shoulder belt plates and Buttons" (p288) states " For many years the motto was spelt "RHI" and was amended to the correct spelling in 1869... being "RIGH", predating this badge to 1869. With two loops to the reverse (east-west). K&K no 545 refers.

Original WW1 Memorial Scroll - Sergeant William Rawling, 10th ( Service Battalion ) Durham Light infantry ( DLI ) - Somme casualty


In good unfolded condition with a few grubby marks to front. Reverse has pencil additions confirming he was born in Seaham Harbour and lived at New Seaham Colliery, County Durham, suggesting he was a miner.

CWGC confirms his regimental number as 15424 and he was a Battle of the Somme casualty, being killed on 16 September 1916 in France & Flanders, and he is commemorated...  read more

A matched brass pair of collar badges to the Northamptonshire Regiment with Victorian crowns with two dark toned original lugs to each. Sharp detail. 2.8cm tall. Good condition. Worn from 1884 to 1901 (and from 1898, this pattern of collar was also worn on the field service cap).
