A large and impressive brass cast badge in the shape of a 'Cheel' (Kite) facing right with wings outstretched, perched on a scroll with the inscription 'MARWAR', the ancient name for the kingdom of Jodhpur. Three of three integral tombstone style fixings to the reverse. Circa 7.3cms tall. In good worn condition. It was worn on the upper right arm. Rare.

A thinly die struck brass cap badge, with two original loops, as worn circa 1935-1950. Circa 4.6cms across and mounted on a red corrugated card cut to shape which I have not attempted to remove.

A cast unmarked silver example with two original loops to the reverse. A seated crowned Chinthe facing left on a torse above the scroll 'Civis Sed Miles' (A citizen but a soldier) with a further scroll below that with the words "RESERVE Bn. B.M.P." A cast white metal silver plated example with two original loops to the reverse. In good worn condition. Circa 4cms tall. Formed in 1941 and this badge worn post Independence.

The regiment's cap badge is a chakram or quoit, with a mounted kirpan. The insignia was designed to honour the Khalsa community's Akali Nihang ancestry.
